THE FIRST BACKERS is an ANGEL MYTHOS book series created to document the journeys and philosophies of angel investors who support founders at the earliest stages.

The series is built around a simple but powerful idea: important ventures often begin before proof. Before a startup becomes visible, before a founder gains recognition, and before the market understands the opportunity, someone must choose to support the possibility.

That person is often an angel investor — an early backer.

Project Origin

THE FIRST BACKERS emerged from ANGEL MYTHOS, an artist-led cultural and publishing project exploring the meaning of early support through art, stories, and research.

The project began in the studio while developing angel-themed artworks and studying the deeper symbolism of angels as messengers, protectors, supporters, and early witnesses to possibility.

Over time, that inquiry naturally connected to the world of angel investing, where early-stage backers support founders before certainty, validation, or success is guaranteed.

To create a thoughtful book series that documents angel investor journeys, preserves early-stage investment wisdom, and helps founders understand the human side of support before certainty.
